Artist's Statement

The bountiful season of the autumn Harvest produces some ethereal inspirations in the mind of Lindsay Payton! Be sure that the Artist is paying attention to every minute detail of the enchanted world she envisions! Lindsay's vision and muse recalls the winds of Autumn, the crisp and crinkling sound of leaves being crushed under foot. And as her art creeps into your view and a seductive and delightful chill replaces the warmth you will fall in love. Her brustrokes are soft, precise, meaningful and clear. This artwork, mainly a collection of finely produced minitures, is as fresh and inviting as the cool wind in the trees. Cue all the ghouls and gourds of the Harvest season! Lindsay is a highly talented Santa Fe artist pulling her haunted visions from the hands of the ancient bones; the ones that rise through the vines, ready to reap for the Harvest! This cannon of art is inspired by great literature of the masters such as Edgar Allan Poe. Though her work is mainly comprised of Mixed Media, Acrylic, Pen and Ink and Watercolor, she is also an accomplished writer.
